9/11/2011

Ten years ago today, the lives of many Americans were changed forever.

For many, lives were lost.
Fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, sisters, brothers.
For these individuals, life changed in a drastic way,
and in a way that I can't begin to fathom.

For me personally, the changes were subtle.
Terrorism became more than a word, it became an action.
The idea of "war" became a reality.

Today, I hope we can take time to remember those whose lives were lost.
I also hope we will remember those who become heroes that day,
and those who are still fighting for our freedom today.

Never forget.

  2. This is such a good post, simple, but incredibly true. Before, 9/11 I never thought I would see a war in my lifetime. It's insane that instead there has been one going on for almost half my life.
